EPA RELEASES REPORT THAT GLYPHOSATE DOES NOT CAUSE CANCER
BrownfieldAgNews reports:

A report released last week by the EPA's Office of Pesticide Programs says glyphosate likely does NOT cause cancer.

It says some of the studies it evaluated were of low quality. The EPA says the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer (I-ARC) relied on some of those studies. That agency released a report last March saying glyphosate was "probably carcinogenic."

Glyphosate is the leading ingredient of Monsanto's RoundUp. Monsanto disputes the IARC assessment.

An EPA Scientific Advisory Panel (SAP) will hold a meeting on the "Carcinogenic Potential of Glyphosate" October 18th through 21st in Arlington, Virginia.
