CAITLIN EANNELLO JOINS NAT'L ASSN OF WHEAT GROWERS AS COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

NAWG Chief Executive Officer Chandler Goule announced recently that Caitlin Eannello will be joining the staff of the National Association of Wheat Growers as director of communications, starting in early April. In this role, Eannello will be responsible for leading NAWG's communications operations and media relations, and will serve as wheat growers' link to the press. She will be tasked with developing and implementing a communications strategy to increase and enhance NAWG's footprint on the Hill and at the administration, as well as with NAWG's member states and farmers.
"NAWG will be aggressive going into the next farm bill reauthorization process to ensure our producers' needs are addressed, particularly given the low prices in wheat country that are expected to continue," Gould said. "Hiring Caitlin is a big part of our strategy to effectively and actively communicate our positions, and I'm looking forward to having her on board."
"I am excited to begin this new opportunity with NAWG and am fortunate to be joining such a respected team," Eannello said. "I am looking forward to helping NAWG carry out its goals and mission to ensure a better future for America's wheat producers."
Eannello previously worked for more than seven years at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, serving the last three years as a manager of communications. There she managed media relations for the Food and Agriculture and Industrial and Environmental member companies. Eannello received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice degrees from the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware.
