MEGHAN GREBNER NAMED LIVESTOCK MARKET REPORTER FOR BROWNFIELD AG NEWS
Source: Brownfield Ag News news release

Brownfield Anchor/Reporter Meghan Grebner has a new role on the Brownfield team. With Jerry Passer's retirement in late June, Meghan stepped in to take over livestock market reporting for Brownfield's radio network, mobile application and website. In this role, Meghan serves as quarterback of Brownfield's on-the-ground coverage of livestock news.

"Meghan's passion and understanding of animal agriculture makes her a perfect fit for this role," said Cyndi Young, Director of Brownfield and Ag Operations. "We look forward to providing an even more robust suite of livestock news and market coverage for our listeners, viewers and readers."

Meghan grew up on a diversified family farm in central Illinois, majored in communications and animal science at Western Illinois University and managed a farrow to finish swine operation before becoming a farm broadcaster in 2006.

For more than a year Meghan has hosted Brownfield's Weekly Livestock Market Update with University of Missouri State Extension Ag Economist Scott Brown.

A graduate of the Illinois Ag Leadership Program, Meghan was awarded the 2009 National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) Horizon Award, which recognizes the top new farm broadcaster in the country. She joined Brownfield in 2011.

In addition to her responsibilities covering livestock, Meghan remains the dedicated host of Brownfield's Cab Conversations.

Brownfield Ag News creates and delivers original content across multiple media platforms. Brownfield includes the largest and one of the oldest agricultural news radio networks in the country. More than 450 affiliate radio stations in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin are in a contractual partnership to carry agricultural programming created by Brownfield's award-winning team of a dozen full-time farm broadcasters.
