CONNER HAMBURG JOINS NAT'L CORN GROWERS ASSN AS MGR/PUBLIC POLICY & REGULATORY AFFAIRS

The National Corn Growers Association recently welcomed Connor Hamburg as manager of public policy and regulatory affairs. Hamburg brings more than four years of Capitol Hill, public policy and political campaign experience.
In this position, he will manage a diverse issue portfolio with an emphasis on regulatory affairs and emerging issues, including precision agriculture and technology, labor and immigration, and rural broadband.
Hamburg joined NCGA on August 31. He has held several positions on Capitol Hill, most recently as legislative assistant to Representative Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-Illinois). He has also previously worked for Representatives John Carney (D-Delaware) and Steve Israel (D-New York), and as an intern in the Office of Vice President Joe Biden.
"We are excited to welcome Connor to NCGA's public policy team," said NCGA Executive Vice President Jon Doggett. "With experience on Capitol Hill and the Administration, and a long family history in production agriculture, he will be a strong advocate for corn farmers on policy and regulatory matters affecting their operations. He will help us expand our relationships on the Hill and find common ground on our most important policy priorities for agriculture."
Hamburg is a native of Delaware, where members of his extended family have been in engaged in production agriculture for generations. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from James Madison University.
