USDA REPORTS 93% OF SOYBEANS HARVESTED, 83% OF CORN
BrownfieldAgNews reports:

The 2017 U.S. corn and soybean harvests remain slower than normal, but continue to crawl towards the finish line.

It's been a mixed growing season nationally for corn and beans, with widely variable conditions from planting, through development, into harvest, but even with the issues, the USDA is expecting a record large U.S. soybean crop and a record high average yield for corn.

As of Sunday, 83% of this year's corn crop is harvested, compared to 70% a week ago and the five year average of 91%.

93% of soybeans are harvested, compared to 90% last week and 95% on average.

95% of winter wheat is planted, matching the typical pace, and 84% has emerged, a little faster than usual. 54% of the winter wheat crop is in good to excellent condition, down 1% on the week.
