SYNGENTA SEEDS PRESIDENT HOLLINRAKE COMMENTS ON CURRENT SELLING ENVIRONMENT
Red River Farm Network (RFN) reports:

With a tight economy, farmers are scrutinizing every input decision. Syngenta Seeds President David Hollinrake says that includes the traits in every bag of seed.

"We're seeing a bit of a trade down in corn technologies. In the past, farmers were chasing top-end yields and using multi-stack hybrids. Now, they're only looking for inputs that are required," Hollinrake told RRFN.

"With soybeans, it's still unknown. There's so many new traits on the marketplace, but I think farmers are scrutinizing that as well."

For many farmers in this region, acreage decisions are not finalized. Hollinrake is seeing that indecision throughout the country. "I like to call 2018 the year of overtime in seed sales. It's about 30-days extended from a normal year."

The RRFN interview can be found online here.
