Source: FLM Harvest news release

FLM Harvest announces Jeff Nawn, an expert on global agricultural trade, regulation and technology, has joined the agency's Board of Advisors.

As a board member, Nawn - most recently with Corteva Agriscience, formerly DuPont Pioneer, as its global grain trade and biotech affairs lead - will support FLM Harvest's clients in a variety of policy, regulatory and trade-related issues critical for maintaining and growing market access.

Nawn becomes the 12th member of the FLM Harvest Board of Advisors, which is made up of luminary leaders in the agriculture, food, lifestyle and pet markets. Unique among marketing services agencies, FLM Harvest offers a robust management consulting practice that allows the Advisors to be actively engaged and bring extraordinary insights to a growing roster of world-class clients.

"Our clients are increasingly navigating critical issues, whether they relate to trade, technology, market access or regulations," said Rob McClelland, FLM Harvest president and chief executive officer. "We are thrilled to add Jeff and utilize his expert counsel to help our clients solve problems and seize opportunities."

"Having known and collaborated with many members of FLM Harvest's leadership team and Advisors over the years, I'm excited to join their team and augment the agency's capabilities," added Nawn. "The industries FLM Harvest serves continue to face more and more challenges with regulations, governmental policies and trade. It is an honor to work in collaboration to help set strategy for many of the agency's clients."

While at Corteva Agriscience, Nawn was responsible for managing the company's strategic partnerships with international grain handlers, as well as directing its biotech advocacy efforts in Asia and Latin America. He is involved professionally with both science and trade organizations across the agricultural supply chain and is recognized for his expertise in trade policy and agricultural biotechnology. He currently holds a number of industry leadership positions, including the chair of the BIO China Task Force and chair of the U.S. Grains Council Trade Policy Committee.

Prior to joining DuPont Pioneer in 2012, Nawn spent a decade with the USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service. From 2009-2012, he was the senior agricultural attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, Japan, where he was responsible for diverse agricultural trade policy and market access issues, including the 2012 renegotiation of the American beef access agreement with Japan.

From 2005-2008, he was the agricultural attaché in Mexico City, Mexico, where he worked on a series of complex agricultural trade issues, including the final implementation of NAFTA. Earlier in his career Nawn worked in finance in Chicago and also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Republic of Moldova.

Nawn holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and political science from Marquette University and a Master of Science in agricultural and applied economics from The Ohio State University. Having lived and worked in Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe, he is fluent in Spanish and conversationally fluent in Romanian and Japanese.
