BROWNFIELD'S SHANNON YOKLEY SELECTED AS NAFB'S 2019 HORIZON AWARD WINNER

Jefferson City, MO - Shannon Yokley was selected as the 2019 Horizon Award winner during the 76th Annual National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) Convention held in Kansas City, Missouri November 13-15, 2019.
The Horizon Award was created in 1995 to recognize new farm broadcasters who show promise in the industry for their dedication to the field of broadcast and new perspectives and passion for the industry.
The Horizon Award winner must have 5 years or less of membership in NAFB.
"In the five years that Shannon has been with Brownfield Ag News, she has been an enthusiastic, innovative and passionate contributor to the product, the brand and team," says Cyndi Young, Director of Ag and Operations. "I cannot wait to see what's next for her!"
Shannon was an NAFB Foundation Scholarship recipient in 2014 and interned for Brownfield that year as well. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in science and agricultural journalism in 2015. She has been in her role as Digital Products Coordinator at Brownfield Ag News since graduation. She has won several NAFB Marketcast awards and serves as the NAFB Southern Region Director.
