INAUGURAL CERTIFIED CROP CONSULTANT CONSERVATIONIST OF THE YEAR AWARDED
CropLife America reports:

NRCS Chief Matt Lohr, Conservationist of the Year Nick Guilette, and USDA Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation Bill Northey.


During a ceremony at U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) headquarters in Washington, D.C. last Friday, Nick Guilette of Bonduel, Wisconsin, was presented the inaugural Certified Crop Consultant "Conservationist of the Year" award.

Since 2010, Nick has been an advanced nutrient management and GPS technician for AgSource Laboratories. This prestigious award, administered by the American Society of Agronomy, was established to recognize a dedicated and highly motivated certified crop adviser who exhibits dedication to exceptional conservation delivery, customer service, and has shown to be a leader in their industry.

The award is supported by a conservation and agri-business partnership between USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, Agricultural Retailers Association, American Society of Agronomy, CropLife America, Crop Science Society of America, National Association of Conservation Districts, National Association of State Departments of Agriculture, Soil Science Society of America, Syngenta, and The Fertilizer Institute.
