SLOW HARVEST: 11% OF CORN, 4% OF SOYBEANS STILL IN THE FIELD
BrownfieldAgNews reports:

U.S. corn and soybean producers made minimal harvest progress last week as activity was delayed by another round of winter-like conditions in some areas, along with high winds and rain.

The USDA says 89% of the corn crop is harvested, compared to 84% a week ago and the five-year average of 98%, and 96% of soybeans are harvested, compared to 94% last week and 99% on average.

83% of cotton is harvested, compared to 78% the week before and 81% normally in early December.

Weekly national reports will continue as needed.

The USDA's next set of production estimates is out Tuesday, December 10th.
