Dec. 18, 2019 Source: Trimble news release Sunnyvale, CA - Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) announced today the appointment of Jim Chambers as the worldwide general manager for Trimble's Agriculture Division within the Resources and Utilities segment. Chambers will assume the role on January 13, 2020, and will be located in Westminster, Colorado. "Jim's record of success and proven leadership skills make him highly qualified to lead Trimble's agriculture business," said Darryl Matthews, Trimble senior vice president. "His business acumen and experience in precision agriculture, information technology and channel management will be instrumental in driving the next phase of our growth." Chambers has more than 30 years of agriculture experience. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and general manager at Iteris in the Ag and Weather Analytics business. Prior to Iteris, he held several senior-level roles at companies such as Bayer, John Deere and Monsanto, with experience in general management, strategy, marketing, finance, product management and sales. In addition, Chambers brings a background in OEM and channel management strategies as well as experience leading entrepreneurial start-up initiatives. "With a robust set of Connected Farm solutions that span the agriculture ecosystem, Trimble has grown to become a recognized brand in the agricultural industry," said Jim Chambers. Chambers holds a B.S. degree in Ag Business Management and Economics from The Ohio State University and has participated in Executive Leadership and Finance Development programs at Kellogg Business School, Cornell and Harvard.
