BRAZIL PASSES U.S. AS LARGEST PRODUCER OF SOYBEANS
POLITICO reports:

Brazil is expected to displace the U.S. as the world's top soybean producer during the 2019/2020 season, according to a report from USDA in late December.

Brazil's soybean crop is projected to be the largest ever at 123.5 million metric tons, while the U.S. harvest is expected to drop by nearly 20 percent from the previous year to less than 100 million metric tons.
