Source: Lewis & Clark AgriFood news release

St. Louis, MO - Lewis & Clark AgriFood, a St. Louis based food and agriculture focused investment firm, announced today an investment from their AgriFood and RBIC Funds in Bushel, Inc., headquartered in Fargo, North Dakota.

Bushel is an independently owned and operated software company with a mission to connect the grain industry through digital infrastructure. Bushel software provides real-time account information directly to growers by integrating into grain elevator's accounting systems and market feeds.

Today, Bushel's platform touches over 15% of U.S. grain volume. Bushel plans to use the capital to accelerate its early success in developing grain industry technologies. Additionally, the software company plans to offer a portfolio of products across the agriculture supply chain, including solutions that improve profitability and market access for growers of all sizes, provide efficiency and insights for financial services and farm management companies across the value chain, link in-season production data and sustainable practices with downstream traceability, and enable direct and local sourcing of grains and other crops.

Lewis & Clark AgriFood's holistic investment approach to agriculture and food creates value across the entire agrifood chain from pre-production to distribution. Growth and late-stage investments are an underserved market need in the agriculture and food industries. The investment firm leans toward tech-enabled, sustainable agrifood companies in these segments.

"We have the great privilege to work with Bushel and their entire team in the effort to develop technology solutions for consumers, grain buyers and producers," said David Taiclet, General Partner & Managing Director at Lewis & Clark AgriFood. "The investment in Bushel aligns with Lewis & Clark AgriFood's thesis of building integrity across the supply chain by providing increased transaction visibility for all stakeholders."

"Bushel connects commodity grain markets from the farm gate to the foods we eat," said Larry Page, Principal at Lewis & Clark AgriFood. "Bushel has a strong management team and a deep bench of software development talent that work with some of the largest agribusinesses in the world. This has allowed them to gain a strong market position in this industry."

"We're excited to have this group of incredible investors support us in our efforts to build software that strengthens relationships between consumers, grain buyers and producers," said Jake Joraanstad, Bushel co-founder and CEO. "Our independent and nimble approach in this market continues to resonate with our customers. This funding will help accelerate our product offerings for grain buyers, the producers they do business with and the entire agriculture supply chain."
