CANADIAN TRACTOR SALES DOWN 6% IN APRIL, COMBINES SALES DOWN 30% May 15, 2020 Source: Agri Marketing magazine According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers' monthly "Flash Report," the sales of all tractors in Canada in 2020 are down 13% from last year. For the month, a total of 2,117 tractors were sold, which compares to 2,244 sold through April 2019, a decrease of 6%. For the month of April, two-wheel-drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 2% from last year while 40 & under 100 HP were up 12%. Sales of two-wheel-drive 100+ HP were down 30% compared to last year and four-wheel-drive tractors were down 19% for the month. For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are down 12% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are down 8%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are down 20%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are down 29% for the year. Combine sales were down 30% for the month. Sales of combines for the year totaled 283, a decrease of 35% over the same period in 2019. Tweet |
