FARM BUREAU'S PRESIDENT ZIPPY DUVALL TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19
Agri-Pulse reports:

American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall has tested positive for COVID-19 after experiencing a fever and cough, the organization says.

Duvall is "at home in quarantine and, on the bright side, feeling strong and in good spirits," AFBF spokeswoman Terri Moore said in an email.

Duvall had been working from his Georgia farm for the past two weeks, "having traveled only once in an official capacity to events within the state. ... The hosts of those events, along with others with whom he came into contact over the past two weeks, have been notified or are in the process of being notified," she said.

He is in his third term at the helm of the organization, the nation's largest producer group, after being first elected in 2016.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there have been 2.93 million total cases of COVID-19 in the United States that resulted in more than 130,000 deaths. Duvall's home state of Georgia has had just over 97,000 cases and nearly 2,900 deaths.
