Portland, OR - The U.S. Dry Bean Council (USDBC) is excited to announce the inaugural, global conference focused entirely on dry beans: BeanCon21. This event will bring together dry bean buyers and stakeholders from all over the world on March 2-4, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Participants at the event will hear from U.S. growers, global influencers, food service experts, corporate leaders, government officials and more.

BeanCon21 will also provide unique opportunities for private business meetings and networking as well as chef presentations and future-focused tastings of beans and bean ingredients. "As we face unprecedented times with a global pandemic, the importance of dry beans is more apparent than ever before," said Joe Cramer, executive director, Michigan Bean Commission. "This event will facilitate conversations with domestic growers and international buyers at a crucial time for our industry."

USDBC created BeanCon21 to showcase U.S. dry bean innovation and its prominent role in the future of food. "The U.S. produces the highest-quality dry beans in the world, and we are delighted to share this firsthand with international buyers at the conference," said USDBC President Deon Maasjo of Kelley Bean Company in Oakes, North Dakota.

"This is event is an exciting approach for USDBC that our leaders have embraced to help elevate U.S. dry beans across the globe," said Rebecca Bratter, USDBC Executive Director. "We are excited to bring to life this new, unique forum to provide international buyers a glimpse of not only where our industry is today, but where it is going in the future."

BeanCon21 is made possible by a growing list of sponsors including the Nebraska Dry Bean Commission. USDBC is grateful for their continued support.
