St. Paul, MN - CHS Agronomy, a supplier of crop nutrients, crop protection and specialized agronomy products to agricultural cooperatives and retailers across North America, announces it has received a patent for use of the ortho-ortho EDDHA chelate in the full line of Levesol products including Trivar, Soygreen, Levesol, Levesol ZN, Levesol DFC ZN, Paralign, Redline, Soyshot, and Copperfield. Trivar is the newest product available, the first fertilizer additive specifically designed for broadcast phosphorus application.

"Levesol is a proprietary formulation based on proven technology that we have been testing and developing new applications for more than 18 years," says Steve Carlsen, Levesol and crop enhancement manager, CHS Agronomy. "This patent is an important recognition for the Levesol product line, showcasing these products as innovative tools in the industry."

Most soils contain underutilized micronutrients that are bound to phosphorus and other negatively charged soil components, meaning they are not soluble for uptake by plant roots. The patented ortho-ortho EDDHA chelate in Levesol is the industry's most powerful chelate and prevents micronutrients from binding with phosphorus. This makes phosphorous, zinc, and other micronutrients more available to plants, boosting early growth, better overall plant health, and higher yields. The patent provides CHS customers exclusive access to this innovative chelate technology, which increases uptake, translocation, and overall efficiency of nutrients.

"The CHS Agronomy team is always looking for ways to empower retailers with solutions that offer sound agronomics and good farmer profitability," said Carlsen. "With our patented Levesol product line, we're not only providing our customers with state-of-the-art products but also helping them stand out in a competitive market."
