BrownfieldAgNews reports:

4-H has launched a nationwide campaign to provide more opportunities to youth.

National 4-H Council Senior Vice President Artis Stevens said the Opportunity 4 All campaign will help bridge the "opportunity gap" some youth face.

"There're too many young people in our country that are being left behind and a big piece of that, huge piece of that is about where you live," he said.

Stevens tells Brownfield 20 percent of rural teens don't have access to high speed internet and many rural youths lose out on opportunities. He says the campaign offers opportunities through partnerships...

"Corporate partners like Microsoft or Google who you think about being in Silicon Valley but we're working with them right now to provide tech programs and digital literacy programs and coding programs in rural communities because of the need in those communities," Stevens said.

He said companies like Google and Bayer then have a pipeline into rural communities to provide jobs.
