TOTAL CANADIAN TRACTOR SALES UP 23% IN AUGUST, COMBINE SALES UP 36%

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers' monthly "Flash Report," the sales of all tractors in Canada through August 2020 are up 22% from last year.

For the month of August, two-wheel-drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were up 29% from last year while 40 & under 100 HP were up 18%. Sales of two-wheel-drive 100+ HP were even compared to last year and four-wheel-drive tractors were down 47% for the month.

For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are up 14% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are up 2%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are down 19%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are down 14% for the year.

Combine sales were up 36% for the month. Sales of combines for the year totaled 826, a decrease of 12% over the same period in 2019.
