GROWERS EDGE APPOINTS JENNA HOFFMAN AS CHIEF DATA OFFICER
Source: Growers Edge news release

Johnston, IA - Growers Edge, a provider of data-driven financial technology solutions for the agricultural industry, today announced the hiring of Jenna Hoffman as Chief Data Officer. She will oversee the company's data management processes and lead efforts to develop innovative fintech products that allow growers to improve risk management and profitability as they adopt new technologies for their farms.

"Our primary goal is to help ag retailers bring novel solutions for risk management and access to capital to their grower customers. At the center of everything we do is understanding and putting to work the incredible amount of data available in agriculture today to develop those solutions," said Dan Cosgrove, CEO of Growers Edge.

"Jenna's experience and passion for new technologies and developing methodologies to improve agricultural productivity makes her a perfect fit at Growers Edge. We're excited to have Jenna help lead the charge of developing fintech solutions for growers, and to help us communicate the benefits of data-driven products to the industry," said Cosgrove.

Hoffman brings a unique combination of expertise in both analytics and the development of new technologies to drive innovation in agriculture. She began her career at DuPont Pioneer, building a cross-functional team responsible for developing and launching image analytics and predictive agriculture solutions. At Bayer, she built the company's phenomics program, developing strategies, and leading programs to help understand the relationship between genetics, the environment, and management practices. Hoffman earned a Ph.D. in Genetics and Statistics from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Iowa.

"I am excited about the opportunities at Growers Edge to access detailed public information, partner data and predictive analytics to develop ways data can be harnessed while protecting grower privacy," said Hoffman. "We have the opportunity to move quickly and use data to build solutions that are flexible and meet the changing needs of today's retailers and their grower customers."

Growers Edge has strengthened its leadership team in recent months as the company builds its lending platform and speeds the development of financial technology products for growers. The addition of Hoffman as Chief Data Officer, Hollie Bunn as Vice President of Lending Operations, and Tracy Linbo as Executive Vice President and Chief Commerical Officer, as well as the appointment of former GE executive Trevor Schauenberg to the company's board of directors, establishes an industry-leading combination of expertise to guide the company's efforts.
