BROWNFIELD'S WEEKLY LIVESTOCK MARKET UPDATE CELEBRATES 4TH ANNIVERSARY, DEBUTS WEBINAR SERIES
BrownfieldAgNews reports:

Jefferson City, MO - Brownfield Ag News is celebrating the 4th anniversary of the Weekly Livestock Market Update with a new quarterly webinar series debuting September 30 at 9:30 AM CT.

The webinar series, hosted by Brownfield Anchor/Reporter Meghan Grebner, will feature University of Missouri associate extension professor Scott Brown and two other economists each month. The first webinar Grebner and Brown will be joined by John Anderson, professor and head of the agricultural economics and agribusiness department at the University of Arkansas, and David Widmar, co-founder of Agricultural Economic Insights.

On Friday afternoons, Grebner holds an in-depth Facebook Live conversation with Brown. The program features livestock market analysis, discussion on relevant topics pertaining to cattle, hogs and poultry and how these constantly changing trends affect the agriculture industry. From cash and futures prices to exports and wholesale, Brownfield's Weekly Livestock Market Update covers all the current issues.

"Brownfield Ag News has a rich history of providing livestock market information to listeners," said Cyndi Young, Director of Brownfield & Ag Operations. "For nearly fifty years, farmers have tuned in to listen to Brownfield market news on their local radio stations. Today Brownfield's in-depth market information is available on multiple platforms."

With COVID-19 presenting new market challenges, Brownfield heard from livestock producers and fulfilled the need to provide extra insight by hosting a series of COVID-19: The impact on agriculture webinars. Grebner and Brown discussed the beef and pork markets, featuring other industry leaders as guest panelists. Commodity Market Reporter John Perkins hosted a grains webinar as well.

The COVID-19: The impact on agriculture webinars were so successful and well attended that Brownfield will now feature a quarterly webinar with expert guest panelists to share how the livestock markets are continually changing.

Viewers can tune in every Friday, mid- afternoon to watch the live weekly update, or sign up for Brownfield's Weekly Market Update e-newsletter delivered Saturday morning. For previous weekly reports, visit Brownfield Ag News on YouTube.

Perkins and Grebner anchor numerous livestock and commodity market reports on Brownfield Ag News Radio Network and can be heard on affiliate radio stations across the Midwest.
