CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR SIGNS EXECUTIVE ORDER BANNING SALES OF GAS-POWERED VEHICLES BY 2035
BrownfieldAgNews reports:

California Governor Gavin Newsom wants his state to ban new gasoline-fueled vehicles by the year 2035 in an effort to combat climate change.

The Democratic governor has signed an executive order directing the California Air Resources Board to establish regulations requiring that all new cars and passenger trucks sold in California in 2035 be zero-emission vehicles.

Newsom said the state would incentivize adoption of the vehicles through credits and rebates and will work with private companies to accelerate the deployment of "affordable" fueling and charging options.
