American Agri-Women applaud the actions taken by the administration to protect American mining. Over the years our nation has shut down mining of all kinds, this includes the mining of critical minerals that left us dependent on foreign countries, such as China. These minerals provide the United States citizens with essential inputs for airplanes, cell phones, and electronic products that contribute to our economic and national security. Mining not only provides crucial jobs for Americans it contributes to our health as many minerals are used in medications and other medical products. This executive order cuts the red tape for permitting and provides opportunities through funding in the form of grants for development and processing of these critical minerals. New businesses will arise from this action that provide workers with jobs and wages to care for their families. In addition, the executive order lends opportunity for the review of historic mine sites and rural America will see the benefits. The reopening of mines is crucial to the American economy.
