OWEN ROBERTS JOINS U OF ILLINOIS' AG COMMUNICATIONS FACULTY

On December 1, I will become a faculty member in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications at the University of Illinois. I'll be working with the department on developing a new agricultural communications curriculum, as well as teaching courses (Public Information Campaigns in Agriculture, and co-teaching Communicating Science with another new faculty member, Prof. Eric Morgan).
I will be bringing to the table my experience as president of the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists, my 30-plus years of communications and journalism experience at the University of Guelph, and my connections to the sector through the Association for Communications Excellence and the Ag Communicators Network.
I'm very proud to join the department, which has produced some of the finest agricultural communicators, journalists and marketers in the U.S., and to follow in the footsteps of legendary University of Illinois agricultural communications professor Jim Evans.
