Our next monthly webinar will take place on Monday, January 11 at noon (Central time). Mark Stephenson, the director of dairy policy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will present "Pandemic, prices, and PPDs . . . What will 2021 offer?"
Stephenson will look at the continued impact of COVID-19 and the post-pandemic recession on dairy markets. This leads to the forecast of prices in 2021 and the possibility of continued negative producer price differentials (PPDs). Sponsored by Cargill. (www.cargilldairydreams.com/rationreview)
Hoard's Dairyman launched its free webinar series nine years ago in conjunction with the University of Illinois. These educational sessions are held the second Monday of each month and are broadcast live from noon until 1 p.m. (Central time). Attendees are encouraged to submit questions before, during, and after the webinar. They will be answered at the conclusion of the presentation.
Each hour-long webinar includes nationally known and carefully selected presenters who discuss the most timely and relevant challenges faced by today's dairy producers. Past topics include finance, nutrition, milk quality, herd care, milk marketing, and dairy policy.
