 Jan. 13, 2021 Source: KC Animal Health Corridor news release Kansas City, MO - The KC Animal Health Corridor is now accepting applications from early-stage companies in the animal health sector to present their vision and business plan to potential investors and partners at the 13th Annual Animal Health Summit, held virtually Aug. 24 - 26. Applications are due by April 5. Formerly known as the KC Animal Health Investment Forum, the Animal Health Summit offers one of the only opportunities in the world for emerging companies in the animal health sector to connect with venture capitalists, investment firms and leading industry companies. The distinguished Summit selection committee will consider applicants from across the globe that meet these criteria: • Seeking $500,000 to $20 million in funding or strategic partnerships to advance a company's technology • Revenue projections of $20 million within five to seven years "Because of the high concentration of animal health companies in the KC Animal Health Corridor, our Animal Health Summit offers a uniquely supportive environment for entrepreneurs," said Kimberly Young, president, KC Animal Health Corridor. "We're proud to provide a forum where emerging and established groups can connect to shape the future of the animal health and nutrition industry." In the first 12 years of the Animal Health Summit, presenting emerging companies have raised almost $450 million. Several companies have had technology licensed with animal health companies or have secured distribution agreements.
