Des Moines, IA - Scott Hays of Monroe City, Mo., was elected on Wednesday as vice president of the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) at its National Pork Industry Forum.

Hays is a fifth-generation pork producer and the CEO of Two Mile Pork, LLC. He operates a farrow-to-finish enterprise, marketing 115,000 hogs per year, and farms corn and soybeans. Hays is chairman of NPPC's Competitive Markets Committee.

Hays is also active on the Missouri Pork Association Board and committees, the Missouri Corn Growers, Missouri Farm Bureau, Missouri Agricultural Leaders of Tomorrow, Monroe City FFA, and Missouri Institute of Cooperatives.

"Scott's dedication and strong leadership will serve NPPC well as he begins his tenure as vice president," said NPPC CEO Neil Dierks. "With Scott's passion and enthusiasm, NPPC remains well positioned to advocate for the public policy interests of America's pork producers."
