TRACTOR SALES IN U.S. UP 41% IN FEBRUARY, COMBINES DOWN 19%

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," the sale of all tractors during February in the U.S. were up 41% compared to the same month last year.

For the two months in 2021, a total of 32,011 tractors were sold which compares to 23,937 sold thru February 2020 representing a 34% increase year to date.

For the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were up 47% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were up 28%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were 46%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were down 3%.

For the two months, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are up 40% over last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are up 22%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are up 31%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are up 15%.

Combine sales were down 19% for the month. Sales of combines for the two months totaled 544 an increase of 25% over the same period in 2020.
