St. Louis, MO - Lewis & Clark AgriFood, a St. Louis-based food and agriculture focused investment firm, today announced the promotion of Tim Hassler to Managing Director.

Tim is an integral part of the Lewis & Clark AgriFood investment leadership team, partnering closely with General Partner and Managing Director David Taiclet and Managing Director Larry Page.

"Tim has only been with the firm for a short time, but he has provided outstanding leadership around fundraising, sourcing deals, investment analysis, and portfolio management," said David Taiclet. "Additionally, Tim has led a number of deals both in the Lewis & Clark Rural (RBIC) Fund and the Lewis & Clark AgriFood Growth Fund."

Prior to joining Lewis & Clark AgriFood in June 2019, Tim was a Managing Director for Advantage Capital Agribusiness Partners (ACAP), a $154.5M Rural Business Investment Company focused exclusively on the food and agribusiness sector. Tim managed all aspects of the fund, including fundraising, deal sourcing, due diligence, portfolio management, and reporting. He led six investments for ACAP and served as a board member or observer on each investment.

Additionally, Tim was a co-founder of Patriot Capital Funding, a specialty finance company providing mezzanine debt. His responsibilities spanned all elements of the investment process, including Chief Investment Officer, Chief Operating Officer. and Chief Compliance Officer.

Tim received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois and his Master of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
