MERCK ANIMAL HEALTH ISSUES STATEMENT ON ITS AGREEMENT WITH JOHNSON & JOHNSON

There have been a couple recent reports expressing concerns regarding Merck Animal Health's ability to produce animal health medicines and vaccines as a result of the recently announced partnership with Johnson & Johnson to make the COVID vaccine. Here is our official statement:
We recognize the importance of continuing to supply animal health vaccines to keep animals healthy and help ensure a safe food supply. Merck Animal health is not anticipating any supply impact to our current animal health products. We continue to work diligently to maintain compliant supply performance of our existing vaccines and medicines and we remain committed to keeping our stakeholders informed of any important updates regarding the supply of our products.
Merck Animal Health remains unconditional in our support to end the pandemic in our communities by helping to co-produce the COVID vaccine for Johnson & Johnson. We all hope we can return to business as usual someday soon.
