CANADIAN TRACTOR SALES UP 81% IN MARCH, COMBINE SALES EVEN

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," the sale of all tractors in Canada during March were up 81% compared to the same month last year.

For the third month in 2021, a total of 5,733 tractors were sold which compares to 3,586 sold thru March 2020 representing an 60% increase for the year.

In March, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were up 136% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were up 44%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 6%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were up 41%.

Combine sales were even for the month. Sales of combines for three months totaled 218, an increase of 19% over the same period in 2020.
