Used in sorghum in Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma, the product manufactured by Albaugh Inc. will be phased out over the next year.
The environmental group Center for Biological Diversity called the announcement good news, citing an EPA analysis showing use of the chemical was "likely to adversely affect" 64 different threatened or endangered species.
