VICTORIA CHIA JOINS WORLD FOOD PRIZE AS SR. DIRECTOR OF INTERNATIONAL DIALOGUES
World Food Prize Organization reports:

The World Food Prize Foundation announced today that Victoria Chia has joined the organization as the Senior Director, International Dialogues.

In this role, Ms. Chia is responsible for overseeing and coordinating major programs and events related to the World Food Prize Foundation's mission, including the Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue and Digital Dialogues.

"I am overjoyed to join the excellent team at the World Food Prize Foundation and their important mission of promoting innovation and action worldwide," said Chia. "I am humbled to contribute to our collective efforts of increasing the availability of quality, nutritious food for all, particularly as we continue the critical Decade of Action to reach the targets of the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially for nutrition and ending hunger."

Ms. Chia graduated from Harvard University in 2019 with a mid-career Master's in Public Administration and a certificate in Management, Leadership and Decision Sciences. She obtained a Master's degree in International Affairs from Columbia University in 2002, concentrating in International Development. She received her Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Political Science with a certificate in International Business from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

"Victoria brings a wealth of knowledge in the international arena, directly managing large global interactions and event development," said Barbara Stinson, President, World Food Prize Foundation. "Her exceptional and comprehensive experience, married with her extraordinary attentiveness to detail will bring a new dimension of growth to the Foundation's events."

Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Chia served as Program Officer of the International Medical Corps. In this role, Ms. Chia was responsible for coordinating the implementation and funding for multiple programs in developing countries such as Zimbabwe and Burundi. She has an extensive background in managing and organizing international projects and teams, previously holding officer positions at the United Nations and the U.S. Department of State. She has also managed a flagship conference in Asia for several years for the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command as an International Project Director.

In 2019, Ms. Chia received the Lucius N. Littauer Fellows Award for her academic excellence and leadership, in addition to her contributions to the Harvard Kennedy School of Government community.
