WESTERN FARM SHOW TO RETURN TO LIVE EVENT IN 2022
Source: Western Equipment Dealers Assn news release

Kansas City, MO - One of the largest Farm Shows in the Midwest will return to a live event in 2022. The 60th Annual Western Farm Show will be held at the American Royal in Kansas City, Missouri from February 25-27, 2022. Due to the COVID pandemic, the 2021 show was canceled to keep exhibitors and attendees safe.

"We are excited to be back and hope to have a show that is bigger and better than ever as we celebrate our 60th Anniversary," said John Schmeiser, CEO of the Western Equipment Dealers Association, the owners of the Western Farm Show. "We heard loud and clear from equipment dealers, manufacturers, our vendors, sponsors, and from the farming community as a whole that a return to in-person farms shows is their preference. All are excited that we are returning to a live event in 2022."

The vast majority of exhibitors have also expressed their interest in returning to a live show in 2022. The Western Farm Show continues to sell out its space each year with a long waiting list. It is expected that major manufacturers including John Deere, AGCO, Case IH, New Holland, and Kubota, and significant short-line manufacturers will continue to support the event. The show is also supported by the FFA and several industry groups schedule meetings at the show.

"We are getting a great response from our vendors and dealers," said Jami Applegate, WEDA's Manager of Industry Events. "We are all looking forward to having a full house at the American Royal and continuing to put on one of the largest such events in the Midwest."

Applegate joined WEDA as the new manager of the association's major events, replacing the retiring Ken Dean. Dean had served as the Farm Show Manager for the past 11 years. Applegate brings over 15 years of sales and marketing experience to her new role.

The 2022 Western Farm Show draws exhibitors and participants from across North America. To learn more, please visit westernfarmshow.com. Ag businesses interested in becoming an exhibitor can request to be added to the waiting list by contacting Jami Applegate at japplegate@westerneda.com
