AgResourceMarketwatch reports:

Dean Moore
Like AgResourceMarketWatch (ARMW) principle Dean Moore, older workers pro led in Elizabeth Fideler's new book, Aging, Work, and Retirement, are staying on the job as long as they can. Moore unretired 20 years ago and launched the (ARMW) network in partnership with Dan Basse's AgResource Co., providing up-to-the-minute grain and livestock information direct from The Chicago Board of Trade. Since farmers have been known to work long after retirement age, Fideler thought Moore's story would be a good t.

Whether by choice or necessity, many older workers are bypassing conventional retirement age or, like Moore, decided to return to the workforce after retirement. In fact, the labor force participation rate for people sixty- ve and older is growing faster than the rate for all younger age groups, thanks to extended lifespans and better health. Moore comments on this phenomenon about his Ag industry in the book, "The average age of U.S. farmers is through the roof!"

Dr. Fideler is a founding member of the Sloan Research Network on Aging and Work, Boston College. Aging, Work, and Retirement and her other books about older workers are available on Amazon and from Rowman & Little eld Publishers. To order, go to or call the press (800) 462-6420.
