Forbes|THRIVE Future of Food Summit was a phenomenal success!

Over two thousand of the world's top agricultural leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs joined us for exciting and insightful panel discussions on sustainability, climate change and how advances in technology such as AI, drones, blockchain and predictive analytics are transforming the food we eat and it's journey to our dinner tables.

We were honored to be joined by US Secretary of Agriculture, Tom Vilsack for a fireside chat "Creating a Climate for Innovation". The secretary also answered CEO questions from some of THRIVE's key partners, Driscoll Berries, Wilbur Ellis & Bayer.

The twelve companies comprising our THRIVE VII Accelerator Cohort competed on stage for the coveted 2021 Forbes|THRIVE Innovation Icon Award. The 12 finalists, three from the U.S, three from Australia, two from Canada, and one each from Argentina, Israel, Nigeria, and the Netherlands recently completed their three-month accelerator program with THRIVE.

From animal health, water scarcity, sustainable pest and bacteria management, soil health and food waste, plastics reduction, leveraging AI to improve crop and food production this year's cohort is set to make a significant impact on the food system of the future.

If you didn't get a chance to join us you can view the event recording here.

The Winners

We had a very difficult challenge selecting the winner of this year's THRIVE|Forbes Innovation Icon Award. The high caliber of the entire cohort made for a tough judging process & forced us to declare joint winners.

We are delighted to announce that Israeli company Autonomous Pivot shared the accolade with US based Bloomfield Robotics. Our judging panel were super impressed by both companies strong teams, innovative technologies and traction.

Autonomous Pivot develops an intelligent platform for optimizing irrigation, fertigation, and crop-protection in fields irrigated by irrigation-pivot.

Bloomfield's crop assessment services rely on a unique and cost-effective combination of ground-based image capture and deep learning-based processing to help farmers efficiently, effectively, and affordably assess crops.
