HIGHLIGHTS FROM 2021 FARM PROGRESS SHOW: JUST WHAT FARMERS NEEDED
Source: Farm Progress news release

St. Charles, IL - The booths were buzzing, the streets were vibrant, and the combines were rolling, as in-person farm shows made their return at Farm Progress Show 2021 in Decatur, Ill.

"We saw an outstanding turnout for the return of the Farm Progress Show," said Don Tourte, Senior Vice President of Sales and Events with Farm Progress. "This year did not disappoint, as attendees were ready to get back in the groove of seeing the exhibits and restarting the tradition of farm show attendance."

Each day, equipment manufacturers showed off the latest in combines, headers and grain carts in the Show Demo Fields. Raven demonstrated their OMNiDRIVE, which allows for the automated pulling of the grain cart, and OMNiPOWER, a self-propelled power platform designed to easily interchange farm implements such as a sprayer or spreader to operate in the field, driver-free.

Seed and crop protection companies shared the latest in seed technology and chemistry innovation at their exhibits, which are always popular attractions. Attendees had the chance to also check out seminars and special guests - including a Farm Futures market update, a live taping of The Noon Show and visits from popular social media personalities.

Showgoers even saw an on-site barn raising from FBi Buildings, showcasing its Qlyft system. The system uses hydraulic cylinders, I-beams, scissors-lift technology, and safety nets to assemble a roof, build and attach wall frames, and set the building in place - all in about 15 minutes.

One particular highlight was the concert from country music star Lee Brice, presented by Case IH and co-sponsored by Farm Progress. During the show, he debuted his new song, "Farmer," for attendees.

"This year's exhibitors and sponsors brought their A-game and worked hard to make the show a success," said Matt Jungmann, Farm Progress Events Director. "We took this momentum to Husker Harvest Days last week, and we really just keep bringing farmers the connections and experiences they count on from Farm Progress."
