Carlsbad, CA - Are you interested in the local food movement, preserving urban-facing agriculture, and open to learning more from farmers about local growing and production to help promote and sustain San Diego farming? Then this is the event for you!

On Thursday evening, April 28, from 5pm-8pm, San Diego County Farm Bureau will be hosting a one-of-a-kind tasting and education event at the world renowned Carlsbad Flower Fields, while in bloom. It will be an opportunity for 200 people from our community to taste our homegrown bounty and view the variety of San Diego Agriculture, while interacting with the farmers and purveyors who grew and made it. Here is what guests can expect: stations offering unique bites incorporating local crops creatively prepared by San Diego Chefs and locally sourced beverages. Participants can meet local growers and farmers, as well as supporting businesses of San Diego agriculture.

Guests will also receive "fast facts" to help them with questions they might have for local farmers, speak with an array of partners involved in local agriculture, and learn more about what it is like to farm in SD County. Farmers of the area will be in attendance, equipped with generations of agriculture stories and an overall picture of farming in San Diego County.

Tickets are $55, or $45 for San Diego County Farm Bureau members, and can be purchased online at www.sdfarmbureau.org/graze-at-the-fields. Must be 21 or over.
