U.S. FARM MACHINERY SALES SOFTEN IN MARCH Apr. 12, 2022 Agri Marketing magazine reports: According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," the sale of all tractors during March 2022 in the U.S. were down 21% from the same month last year. In March, a total of 24,715 tractors were sold which compares to 31,276 sold in 2021 - a 21% decrease. For the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 26% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 14%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 7%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were down 2%. For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are down 11% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are down 4%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are up 13%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are down 1%. Combine sales were down 10% in the month.
