JUDGE APPROVES CONSENT ORDER II BASF PYRACLOSTROBIN PATENT PROTECTION CASE
Source: BASF

A consent order has been approved against and agreed on by Sharda Cropchem Ltd. and Sharda USA LLC to cease importing and selling products that infringe on BASF's Pyraclostrobin patent in the United States.

"We are thankful that the ALJ has acted quickly and adopted the consent order requiring that Sharda must stop importing and selling products that infringe on BASF intellectual property," said Paul Rea, Senior Vice President, BASF Agricultural Solutions North America.

"BASF will continue to protect its investments in new technology through its legally enforceable intellectual property rights when necessary."

Agri Marketing note:

Pyraclostrobin is a main ingredient in BASF's PRIAXOR fungicide for use in canola, pulses, corn, soybeans and flax.
