2022 BORLAUG CAST COMMUNICATION AWARD WINNER TO BE NAMED NEXT TUESDAY, FREE WEBINAR

The Council for Agricultural Science and Technology (CAST) will announce the recipient of the 2022 Borlaug CAST Communication Award (BCCA) during a free webinar on Tuesday, May 10 from 11:30-12:30 pm CST.
The announcement event will include Dr. Sarah Evanega, the 2021 BCCA recipient; Dr. Chavonda Jacobs-Young, Administrator, Agricultural Research Service, United States Department of Agriculture; and Dr. Anna Dilger, CAST President.

The BCCA honors the legacy of Dr. Norman Borlaug, a Nobel Prize winner and author of the first CAST publication, and Dr. Charles A. Black, the first executive vice president of CAST. It is presented annually for outstanding achievement by a scientist, engineer, technologist, or other professional working in the agricultural, environmental, or food sectors for contributing to the advancement of science in the public policy arena.
This award has become an influential component in the efforts to keep agricultural issues and programs in the public eye and in front of national and world policymakers.

In addition to this online event, the official presentation of the award will take place at a special side-event during the World Food Prize Borlaug Dialogue event in Des Moines, Iowa, in October.
