Dec. 15, 2022 Source: Agri Marketing magazine In an announcement to Farm Journal Inc. employees, Andy Weber, announces his retirement as CEO of the company. Weber says, "Moving forward, and continuing as one of our largest shareholders, my plan is to stay on the Farm Journal board of directors and continue to be active in the company. I will become Vice-Chairman of the Farm Journal Corporation and remain as Chairman of the Farm Journal Foundation." Charlene Finck has decided not to pursue the CEO role and she will continue her role as President of Farm Journal, supporting the new CEO. Korn Ferry is conducting a global search both inside and outside of the agriculture and the media industries. Weber joined Farm Journal as its CEO in 2000. Prior to Farm Journal, he was Executive VP of Reed Elsevier and Sr. VP of Chilton Company. Earlier in his career, Weber served as President of three standalone subsidiaries of the Medical Economics Company. He spent the first eight years of his career in agricultural media with Agri Marketing magazine and then Vance Publishing. He has received numerous industry awards, including Agriculture Future of America's 2019 Leader In Agriculture Award, Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism's 2012 McAllister Top Manager Fellowship and Crain's Media Business Magazine Top CEO Innovator for 2011.
