WENDY VLIEKS JOINS UNITED SOYBEAN BOARD AS VP COMMUNICATIONS

As Vice President of Communications, Wendy Vlieks leads USB's comprehensive strategic and integrated communications plan in alignment with the organization's long-range strategic plan. She advises board member and staff leadership on all communications-related matters and provides counsel for U.S. Soy and its partner organizations.
Wendy is a global communications expert with 25 years of experience in corporate and agency public relations. She spent nine years leading a team responsible for Nestlé Purina's corporate reputation. Previously, Wendy led worldwide public relations for SanDisk and consumer public relations for eBay Marketplaces. She also worked at Walmart in corporate affairs and FleishmanHillard in marketing communications.
Wendy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in communications management and public relations from Missouri State University. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, the Issue Management Council, and the International Crisis Management Conference. She is studying to be a St. Louis Master Gardener and serves on the Seed St. Louis board of directors.
