SUCCESSFUL FARMING NAMES JESSIE SCOTT AS ITS 11TH EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
Source: Successful Farming news release

"Farmers are at the heart of everything Successful Farming stands for as a brand," said Marty Wolske, Successful Farming publisher. "Jessie embodies the values of this brand by understanding that we earn farmers' trust daily; not by telling them, but by engaging them."

Scott has been on the Successful Farming team for more than 10 years, where she has held a variety of positions across editorial, digital, and digital advertising. In multiple roles, she has proven her ability to learn about a new aspect of the business and adapt that to the needs of our audience and customers.

When overseeing Agriculture.com, Scott built up content distribution to make it easier for farmers to find the content they need, whether through search, social, or newsletters.

Some of her accomplishments from her editorial experience include:

*International Federation of Ag Journalists Alltech Young Leader in Agricultural Journalism Award | 2017

*Andy Markwart Horizon Award | 2017

*Ag Communicators Network (ACN) Master Writer Award | 2016

*ACN First Place On-Farm Production Article | 2016

*ACN First Place Technical Feature | 2016

"For more than 120 years, Successful Farming has produced service journalism that helps farmers improve their operations and their lives. I am honored and humbled to be the 11th steward of that legacy," says Scott, who grew up on a corn, soybean, and cow-calf farm in Marengo, Iowa, where her parents farm today.

"This brand means a lot to me, to our staff, and to the farmers we serve, including my family. I am incredibly excited to build on our legacy of editorial excellence while adapting our brand to meet the needs of today's farmers."

"This is a defining moment for the brand," says Wolske. "Content needs are evolving at an ever-accelerating pace. Jessie has the intuition it takes to fulfill these new necessities while continuing to uphold the excellence by which Successful Farming is known."

Scott takes over from Gil Gullickson, who is retiring from Dotdash Meredith after 18 years of service at Successful Farming.
