Holly Cassidy | By grace, Holly got to experience the full measure of God's love and peace on November 27, 2024, while holding her husband's hand.
Holly was born in 1957 to Edwin and Bernice (Bunny) Slusarczyk, she grew up on her grandmother Boardman's farm in Remsen, NY and graduated from Remsen Central School. She was educated in bookkeeping and accounting at MVCC and Utica College, using that knowledge to manage her family's business, Ag Radio Network, for more than 40 years.
Although the idea of motherhood frightened her, Holly's greatest accomplishment and joy was raising her son, Timothy. Once Tim was an adult, she had room in her life to become wife to Tom Cassidy. She loved that she was able to live and work with her (parents, siblings, son and husband) family, and she threw her whole being into those roles.
Holly served her community as a Cub Scout den mother, as board member of Didymus Thomas Library, Remsen-Steuben Historical Society, Remsen Development Corporation and Secretary/Treasurer to Oneida County Farm Bureau. She served her faith at the Remsen Methodist Church as a Sunday school teacher, Lay Speaker and "2nd row" member of the choir. Besides her family, she enjoyed local history, architecture and the Adirondacks.
