"Rod exemplifies dedication to both ARA and the ag retail community in extraordinary ways," says ARA President and CEO Daren Coppock. "His remarkable 13 years on the ARA board, including serving as our first two-year chair, have significantly advanced our mission. Rod was also a founding board member of ResponsibleAg, helping shape its direction, and his ongoing personal contributions and engagement with ARAPAC further highlight his commitment to uniting and supporting our members and enhancing our advocacy efforts." Nominations are submitted by peers and selected by the ARA Executive Committee for the ARA Distinguished Service Award, which honors individual members of the association working to make the industry better for everyone as they exceed the traditional responsibility of supporting the ag retail industry. "Being recognized by the Agricultural Retailers Association as a Distinguished Service Award recipient is a career highlight. ARA is the only national association focused exclusively on the needs of U.S. ag retailers, and the ARA team tirelessly educates and advocates on our behalf," says recipient Rod Wells. "My time as member of the board of directors and, eventually, chairman led to the cultivation of lifelong industry relationships, positioned me for career advancement, and built valuable leadership skills that I continue to use each day. I encourage ag retailers everywhere to join if they are not currently members and to actively participate in ARA advocacy efforts in support of our noble industry." Tweet |
