AMERICAN FEED INDUSTRY ASSN RELEASES ITS 2025 EDUCATION PROGRAM AND EVENTS SCHEDULE

ARLINGTON, Va. - The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) has released its 2025 schedule of conferences, professional development and online education courses. Registration is already open for several of these events at afia.org/events.

"AFIA is thrilled to kick off 2025 with a lineup of prominent industry events that provide exceptional educational, networking and professional development opportunities for individuals across the animal food industry," said Jessica Morse, AFIA's director of meetings and events. "We're also excited to introduce new programming this year, continuing our commitment to offering engagement opportunities that drive the animal food industry forward."

The event schedule is as follows:

Jan. 28-30: International Feed Expo at the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) - Atlanta, Ga.

Jan. 28: Pet Food Conference at IPPE - Atlanta, Ga.

Jan. 29: AFIA Feed Education Program at IPPE - Atlanta, Ga.

Jan. 29: APHIS and Industry: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of Importing/Exporting Animal Products at IPPE - Atlanta, Ga.

Jan. 29: What's Keeping the Feed Industry Up at Night? at IPPE - Atlanta, Ga.

March 18-20: Purchasing and Ingredient Suppliers Conference - Orlando, Fla.

July 15-17: Food Safety Modernization Act Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) Training - Nashville, Tenn.

Sept. 9-11: Liquid Feed Symposium - Fort Worth, Texas

Oct. 8-10: Executive Leadership Summit and Rising Leaders Program - Deer Valley, Utah *By invitation only

Nov. 5-7: Equipment Manufacturers Conference - Rancho Mirage, Calif.

Dec. 9-10: PCQI Refresher Course - Nashville, Tenn. *New offering

Early-bird registration rates for IPPE, IPPE Education Programs and AFIA's Purchasing and Ingredient Suppliers Conference ends this Friday, Jan. 10.

The AFIA will continue its partnership with Kansas State University to offer a five-week online course, "AFIA-KSU 500: Fundamentals of Feed Manufacturing." The course will be offered quarterly:

Feb. 4-March 11
April 8-May 13
Aug. 5-Sept. 9
Oct. 14-Nov. 18

After launching in 2024, the AFIA will also continue to offer the online course, "AFIA 600: Designing, Implementing and Documenting an Animal Food Safety Plan." This new program is a self-guided, online professional development course tailored for industry professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of animal food safety standards, regulations and the Safe Feed/Safe Food (SF/SF) certification program. This course will be offered March 11-April 15 and Sept. 16-Oct. 21.
