TUCKER, Georgia - The U.S. Roundtable for Sustainable Poultry & Eggs (US-RSPE) today released its first-ever Sustainability Framework Report during a Tech Talk at the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta. This benchmark report marks a significant milestone in advancing sustainability within the U.S. poultry and egg supply chain, covering broilers, turkeys, and eggs.

Developed through the US-RSPE Sustainability Framework--a multi-stakeholder tool designed to assess, track, and improve sustainability practices--the report provides anonymous, aggregated data on critical metrics such as environmental stewardship, community impact, animal welfare, and workforce well-being. For the first time, stakeholders can access comprehensive, standardized insights into the industry's sustainability performance.

"This report marks a significant step forward for sustainability in the poultry industry," said Ryan Bennett, Executive Director of US-RSPE. "It reflects the collaborative efforts of farmers, processors, integrators, environmental groups, and other key stakeholders to create meaningful change and to highlight the industry's continuous improvement in producing sustainable protein."

The Tech Talk session highlighted essential findings from the report, offering a detailed exploration of sustainability benchmarks, innovative practices, and strategies for continuous improvement. Attendees engaged in discussions emphasizing the framework's scalability and adaptability for organizations at various stages of their sustainability journey.

According to Bennett, the US-RSPE Sustainability Framework exemplifies the power of cross-sector collaboration, addressing vital areas such as greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, animal well-being, and workforce diversity. This collective approach provides actionable data and a clear roadmap to drive sustainable progress across the industry.
