SHUTTLE TRAIN RECEIVER TO BE BUILT IN TEXAS TO ENHANCE FEED SUPPLY
Feed & Grain reports:

5V, a new partnership between Five Rivers Cattle Feeding and Viserion Grain, announced plans today to construct a cutting-edge shuttle train receiver in Dalhart, Texas. The facility, set to commence operations in 2026, is expected to significantly benefit the Texas Panhandle region by enhancing local feed supply and strengthening agricultural capabilities.

The project leverages Five Rivers' established regional presence and Viserion Grain's expertise in grain origination and merchandising to address the growing deficit in feed ingredients. Mike Thoren, President and CEO of Five Rivers Cattle Feeding, described the facility as a "game-changer for local consumers."

Aaron Wiegand, CEO of Viserion International, emphasized the facility's role in expanding their network and supporting the local agricultural community. The project is also expected to create new job opportunities in the area.

Strategically connected to Union Pacific Railroad, the facility will benefit from significant infrastructure investments. Jason Hess, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Union Pacific, highlighted the company's daily $10 million investment in infrastructure, technology, and network expansion to support agricultural growth.

The partnership is backed by Pinnacle Asset Management, L.P., a New York-based alternative asset management firm. Jason Kellman, Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Pinnacle, expressed support for the project, noting its potential to enhance feed supply and create job opportunities in the Texas Panhandle community.
