PEOPLES COMPANY ACQUIRES MIDWEST LAND CO. AND ROACH LAND MANAGEMENT

Source: Peoples Company

Clive, Iowa - Peoples Company, a recognized leader in integrated land management, brokerage, appraisal, and energy solutions with offices across the nation, today announced it has acquired Wayne, Neb.-based Midwest Land Company and Plainfield, Iowa-based Roach Land Management. All clients from both firms have transitioned to Peoples Company, which is actively managing farmland in all major ag regions in the country.

"With the acquisitions of Midwest Land Company and Roach Land Management, we are proud to expand our reach even further in the states of Iowa and Nebraska," said Kyle Walker, Peoples Company's Director of Land Management. "We are proud that our investment in cutting-edge technology and our relentless pursuit of achieving success for our clients has positioned us for continued growth - by adding additional team members, expanding into new states, investing in new capabilities, and through strategic acquisitions like this."

Midwest Land Company is a second-generation family business operating in Wayne, Neb. for more than 67 years. David Ewing, the owner and principal broker of Midwest Land Company, will transition to Peoples Company, along with all local Midwest Land Company staff.

"Our goal at Midwest Land Company has been to provide exceptional service for our clients, and this transition to Peoples Company assures they will be well-served in the future," said Ewing.

Roach Land Management was started in Plainfield, Iowa, by Ed and Pat Roach, and has been in business for nearly 85 years. In recent years, Kyle Mehmen, a fifth-generation farmer, acquired the business and expanded into other agricultural-related service offerings, like crop insurance and trucking. In selling the business to Peoples Company, Roach Land Management will dissolve, transitioning its land management clients to Peoples Company, while retaining their employees for other business endeavors.
